A letter to 2021 and the power of small changes

blank journal page open to 2021

2020 was an interesting and humbling year, to say the least.  We’ve had to adjust our lines from being able to do anything we wanted to working and living at home for the majority of the year. We’ve celebrated birthdays and holidays inside, lost people that we love, and honestly, it’s been rough physically, mentally, and emotionally.

We’ve called out injustices in our society and created avenues to learn more about what’s going on in politics. We’ve voted for officials who give us hope for the future and that change is coming.

2020 has taught me so much. It taught me to take time for myself, spend more time with my family and friends, invest in my business, have a financial safety net, that everyone needs therapy, to always be learning about new topics, and to connect with new people consistently.

As we move into 2021, l’m hopeful yet apprehensive. I have hope that the world will change but apprehensive as I don’t know what will happen. Instead of looking to the future as the end-all-be-all, I’m focusing on the small changes I can make now so that I can live my dream life in the future.

So in 2021, I’ll continue to invest in myself with education, self-care, and making money moves to set myself up financially. I’ll be focusing on planting and watering the seeds of my future so I can slowly move towards my dream life. And honestly, if by the end of 2021 my seeds are only just becoming buds, I’m ok with that because at least I’m making progress.

2021 isn’t going to be groundbreaking but it will be a year that will be the start of changes to create a life that I love. We can start to lay down the stones to continue to the next stage of our path.

So, what’s the first piece you want to put into place this year?
